What is Climate Change?

Extreme temperature, Repeated cyclones ,Strong winds, Unprecedented heavy rain causing severe floods, Severe drought, Erratic weather patterns, rising sea levels and melting glaciers due to climate change, are reshaping societies across the globe.

What Causes Climate Change ?

Challenges of improper Waste Management

  • Anaerobic pile of organic waste in dump yard generates Methane and other  Green House gases enhancing  global warming and climate change
  • Huge Amount of carbon which is supposed to reach soil is wasted in these piles resulting in depletion of soil health and there by plant health.

  • Generates Foul Smells ,Breeds Flies ,Insects, Rats , Dogs etc. Causing additional Health Hazards

  • Land/Space wasted by Dumping

  • Leachate from the dumpsites contaminates  ground water.(Leachate is a by-product derived from municipal solid waste due to their physical, chemical, and biological changes and will be formed in landfills, incineration plants, composting plants, and transfer stations, with high strength and toxicity

Omega’s Solutions for decentralized Organic Waste Management at different level.

  • Organic food wastes generated from Individual houses can be  composted at source with three bin system without foul smell, lechate & maggots and the compost can be used for home garden
  • Organic  waste  generated  in Apartment  can be composted with larger composters.

  • Organic waste generated in Agro industries can also be converted in to compost using solid state aerobic fermentation process.
  • Farm residues  can be composted.
  • Market Waste can be collected with the centralized facility in a segregated manner and converted in to compost.
